★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I decided to stay in Yokohama on a whim and was looking for a nice bar to pass away the evening. This place caught my eye as it seemed to have a good selection of beers beyond the usual suspects.
I was a bit wary as I was by myself, but the place had a nice, friendly atmosphere and I soon felt at ease. Your could tell there were a few regulars who made the place feel more welcoming as they chatted it up with the staff and other customers.
I think I tried about a third of the selection from the list and enjoyed all of them, particularly the Black Mild Ale and the Bay Weiss. The food was pretty good, too. The fried nasu was surprisingly good and almost to much for me to finish. Sashimi was great.
It's the kind of place that makes me wish I could live nearby and visit regularly, sure of a warm welcome each time. As I willed myself to leave at the end of the night, I vowed to come back and sample the rest of the menu.
