購入する際にあの商品が欲しいと伝えたところ、「あれはあそこにあるだけで在庫などないです。」とトンチンカンな返答をもらい、しばらく無言が続きました。
そこで私は「あの商品を自分でレジに持っていけば購入できますか？」と質問したところ「はい」とだけ答え、渋々レジに向かいました。
店員は明らかに日本人でしたが、日本で生活したことがないぐらい、こちらの言葉の意味や文脈を理解出来てないように感じました。
過剰な接客は必要はないと思いますが、最低限度のコミュニケーション能力は身に付けて欲しいです。
The product was good, but the clerk's attitude was the worst.
When I told him that I wanted the product when I bought it, I received a tongue-in-cheek reply saying, "It's just there and there is no stock."
When I asked, "Can I buy that product if I bring it to the cashier?", I answered "yes" and headed to the cashier reluctantly.
The clerk was obviously Japanese, but I felt that I couldn't understand the meaning and context of these words so much that I had never lived in Japan.
I don't think it is necessary to serve customers excessively, but I would like them to acquire the minimum communication skills.
