There is no tree like a shrine behind it and it is a road immediately, so it looks like a park. There are many people who are confused with Mr. Yasaka of Gion, including here, on the web, which is a bit disappointing. The deity of the festival is Susano Onokoto (Shinano God), a Goddess of unknown origin. (It is said that, until the Edo period, almost all modern shrines that enshrined Susano were the deities of the Ushito Tenno.)
