「内海家の種まき桜」「鳥屋ケ崎八幡神社の種まき桜」と共に、加美町三大種まき桜の１つですが、桜側から見た薬萊山などの景色もオススメです。
 There is a "seed-sown cherry tree" that is over 300 years old and is the second thickest in Miyagi prefecture, which is a guideline for the time of rice planting in the area.
It is one of the three major sowing cherry blossoms in Kami-cho, along with "Sowing cherry blossoms of the Utsumi family" and "Sowing cherry blossoms of Toriyagasaki Hachiman Shrine", but the view of Mt. Yakurai seen from the cherry blossom side is also recommended.
