★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on a Sunday during summer vacation and Google said it was "very busy", but absolutely empty compared to similar facilities in Tokyo or Osaka. Lots of activities for the kids, a very reasonably priced cafeteria, and nice wooded area with playgrounds around the place.
Not too many English explanations, but kids tend to not read them anyway, so still work a visit if you don't speak Japanese

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited on 26th March. Better know quite some Japanese, since they don’t provide other language version. The planetarium is very interesting. The most astonishing thing is the observation point. The whole city is almost viewable if the weather good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This museum is almost absolutely aimed at elementary-aged kids. There are many interactive areas for children, but not a lot of science exhibits that adults can enjoy. Many of the exhibits were out of order during our visit. If you don't have kids, skip the museum and enjoy the observation area instead, which has a grand and lovely view of the city below as well as Fuji on a clear day.
