★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和初期の地図をみると、まだ船橋交番の方に延びる道路が完成していないかつてのこの近辺の状況が、よくわかります。そのころは、社殿が東の方角を向いて建てられていました。現況の形に道路が拡幅され、水道道路へ入るバイパスの役割を担うようになって、北向きのお稲荷さんになりました。
 If you look at the map in the early Showa period, you can see the situation in this area where the road extending toward the Funabashi police box has not been completed yet. At that time, the shrine was built facing east. The road was widened to the current state, and it became a north-facing Inari-san, playing the role of a bypass to enter the aqueduct.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 武田信玄・勝頼の家臣で武田家亡きあと徳川家康に仕えた山本土佐守（忠玄）の次男・山本与次左衛門（政法）が建てたものです。東照宮に仕え奉り、文禄朝鮮役を経て旗本となり多摩・荏原・都築の百五十石の知行を給う。船橋４丁目４番地付近に陣屋を構え宝性寺、神明社を建立するとともに鬼門除けに山本稲荷を建てたということです。
