悪く言えば土が盛られてるだけ。
良く言えばその土塁が山形城の規模の大きさを肌で感じられる古の場所。
 Earthworks traces, good or bad.
To put it badly, the soil is just piled up.
To put it better, it is an old place where you can feel the size of Yamagata Castle on the earthworks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山形城の三の丸遺構というのはほとんど残っていないのですが、ここには三の丸濠土塁の跡が残っています。見てもただの土塁なので面白くないと思いますが、通りがかった場合は眺めてみて、かつての山形城がこの地点まで飲み込むほど大きなものだったということを実感してみてください。
There is almost no remains of the Sannomaru of Yamagata Castle, but there are traces of the Sannomaru Tsukuda. I think it's just a ring, so it wouldn't be interesting, but if you pass by, look at it and see that the former Yamagata Castle was so big that it swallowed up to this point.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ビル街に突如として現れる緑地。ここもかつての山形城の三ノ丸のお堀の南東側の跡地です。霞城公園の東大手門から歩いてみるとその距離から山形城の広さを感じ取ることができます。
A green space that suddenly appears in a building area. This is also the site of the former southeast side of the Sannomaru moat of Yamagata Castle. You can feel the size of Yamagata Castle from the distance when you walk from Higashi Otemon Gate of Kashiro Castle Park.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 19/04/27に立石寺参拝、19/08/24に蔵王登山に出掛けたとき、山形駅から近いので、時間調整に立ち寄った。
山形城は本丸、二ノ丸、三ノ丸からなる三重の堀と土塁を持つ城郭で、本丸、二ノ丸は霞城公園として整備されたが、三ノ丸は明治時代の山形駅開業での駅前整備、道路の敷設などにより、ほとんどが堀の埋め立てや土塁の切り崩しなどにより、歌懸稲荷神社の裏にしか残っていないそうだ。
戦国末期の最上義光が築いたものが、幕末まで大きな変化なく、維持されたそうだ。
現在は国の史跡として文化財指定されている。
When I went to Tateishi Temple on 19/04/27 and went to Mt. Zao on 19/24/24, I stopped by to adjust the time because it was close to Yamagata Station.
Yamagata Castle is a castle with a triple moat consisting of Honmaru, Ninomaru, and Sannomaru, and a basement.The Honmaru and Ninomaru were maintained as Kasumi Park. Due to this, most of them are said to remain only behind the Umagake Inari Shrine due to the reclamation of the moat and the cutting of the earthwork.
It is said that what Yoshimitsu Mogami built in the end of the Warring States was maintained without much change until the end of the Edo period.
Currently, it is designated as a national heritage site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 戦国期の最上家居城。土塁が今も市街地に悠然と存在しています。近くの建物から土塁を見下ろすと、地上からの目線では感じられないスケールの大きさに驚かされます。
The highest castle in the Warring States period. Earthworks still exist in the city. Looking down on the earthworks from a nearby building, you will be amazed at the scale that you cannot feel from the ground.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山形の街に残る(残した)土塁。山交駐車場側、歌懸稲荷神社側の両側から見ることができます。神社側からは土塁と共に堀の様子が見られ、往時をしのんで妄想するにはうってつけの場所です。
尚、神社に参拝するのも忘れずに。
The earthwork that remains in the town of Yamagata. It can be seen from both sides of the Yamako Parking Lot side and the Ugake Inari Shrine side. From the shrine side, you can see the moat as well as the earthworks, and it is a perfect place to delusion in the past.
Don't forget to visit the shrine.
