★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the few large parks in the Kansai area and the closest one to Kyoto. Great to bike around and there's plenty of spots to have picnics (my favorite is near the iris garden, with a view of the pond).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a pretty big park, nice place to bring your kids or just go hiking, i have seen bbq signs so might be able to do bbq at designated spots. It had a paid parking, i paid 260yen for less than an hour. If you live close by you should come there by bicycle or walk if you live close by. There was nice garden with full of blooming flowers and medium sized lake. I have seen Japanese mapple trees and place where a lot of bamboo was growing seperated by fence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful and huge park. There are Momiji trees, cherry trees and plum trees every where. You can enjoy a nice afternoon around the lake, eat a pique nique or just have a nice walk. There are a lot of cats living there, and the place is peaceful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A huge and beautiful park not too far from Hirakata station by bus. Great place to relax, have a walk, have a drink or throw a BBQ party with friends. Usually not even that busy, so its kind of a hidden gem! Don't forget your food and drinks, because there are no shops nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful park. I visited in winter, but I am sure it would be even more beautiful in spring and autumn. There is a large pond and many different kinds of gardens.
