★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 創建は天平13年（741）、聖武天皇が仏教の力により国家安寧を導く為に国毎に設けた寺院の１つで、行基菩薩が勅命により開山したと伝えられています。後に慈覚大師が再興し天台宗となったといいます。有り難く、”瑠璃殿”の御朱印を頂きました。
The temple was founded in Tianping 13 (741), one of the temples established by Emperor Shomu to guide national security through the power of Buddhism. It is said that Jikaku Daishi revived later and became Tendai sect. Thank you very much for the "Ruriden" red stamp.

現在の薬師公園中央に、国分寺薬師堂があり、明治維新以後も柏山寺(天台宗・別当寺)の管理とされており、江戸時代には、御朱印領320石が、徳川将軍家から安堵されていた。
明治44年(1911)5月8日、市北大火によって薬師堂は焼失したので、現在の本堂は、旧宝幢寺(現もみじ公園)の本堂を移建したものである。(山形市観光協会ホームページより)

In the center of the current Yakushi Park, there is the Kokubunji Yakushido, which has been managed by Kashiwayamaji (Tendai sect / Betsutoji) even after the Meiji Restoration. During the Edo period, 320 stones of the Goshuin territory were relieved by the Tokugawa Shogunate.
On May 8, 1911, the Yakushido was burned down by the Great Fire of Ichikita, so the current main hall is a relocation of the main hall of the former Hojoji Temple (currently Momiji Park). (From the Yamagata City Tourism Association website)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ こちらの回廊がとても美しい。特に夏は蝉の声を聞きながら、秋は紅葉を見ながら写真を撮っているとうっとりします。敷地内には、あづま屋、公園があり、子供が小さい時は良く遊ばせて頂きました。池もあり、鮒釣りしているおじさんが多いです。子供たちはザリガニ捕りを楽しんでます。何よりも、和尚様が仰られるには、こちらのお薬師様は、とても大らかな仏様なのだそうでます。ここに来ると、全てのストレスに解放されるので、納得出来ます。こちらの地区名が「薬師町」と名付けられてますから、重要な場所なのでしょう。四月末はの花見と、5月の連休明け、8から10日の三日間の「植木市」では屋台も出て、大変賑わいます。一年を通してささやかに楽しめ、心の断捨離が出来る、大変貴重な場所です。

Because this district name is named "Yakushicho", it is an important place. At the end of April, Hanami, and after the consecutive holidays in May, there will be food stalls in the three-day “Ueki City” on August 8 to 10, and it is very popular. It is a very valuable place that you can enjoy little by little throughout the year and get rid of your heart.
