S	Satera Can on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この辺一帯は薬師公園として昭和 29（1954）年に「千歳公園」から改称されて今に至っています。「千歳公園」の名称は、明治１７年(１８８４)新設されたものですが、さらに古くは明治12年（1879）、公園と勧業試験場を兼ねた「千歳園」として、明治 11（1878）年 8 月に起工して、翌 12（1879）年 11 月に竣工開設した所です。「千歳園」の規模は東西 364m、南北約546m、総面積約58,300坪(192727.273 m2)の大きさがありました。「薬師公園」は当初の「千歳園」を公園として勧業試験場機能を切り離して残した部分です。この公園は、山形市では歴史のある、公園になります。山形県道19号山形山寺線の近くの公園内にある【千歳園】の碑は[複製]ですが、原碑は、山形東高等学校の前庭に移建されています。碑は当初、勧業試験場付近に建立されていた事であったので、昭和 60年（1985） 9 月に、山形東高等学校百周年記念事業を機に、移建されました。移設される前、1985年頃まで原碑は、この公園に存在していたようです。 This area has been renamed from "Chitose Park" in 1954 as Yakushi Park.
