★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Japanese degustation restaurant. Seasonal ingredients in a variety of courses, sashimi, fried fish, grilled fish and chicken broth were all on the menu when I went. Much structure and formality in the food service and atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our very own zen tea house in bustling Tokyo. Food was slightly over priced, but you pay for the design and ambiance. You may feel sleepy due to the overall “zen-ness” of the room but that just speaks to the effectiveness of the design.

Great place to spend a relaxing morning, contemplating life over delicious food and fragrant teas.
Advanced reservations are required. I don't think they accept walk-ins.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the moment you walk up the steps to the entrance of this restaurant you’re immediately transported into a world where simplicity meets elegance and modernity.
We came here for traditional Japanese breakfast and tea pairings. The food here is simple yet contemporary, complementing the architecture and decor of the restaurant. Once we were done with our breakfast we were taken to the most beautiful space for some green tea and traditional Japanese pastries.
You won’t find this place in most guidebooks, but this is a hidden gem where you can take a break and find peace in one of the world’s busiest cities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful tea house in Setagaya-ku. Their breakfast menu is very pure, so it could be boring if you are not used to this type of food. All the quality of ingredient is high, the presentation is excellent. I want to visit here again for their tea course!
