★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 登山口によっては1時間半程度で到達することができ、普段体力に自信がなく、軽量化のために食料をケチっている人なども、多くの荷物を持ち運ぶことがかので、その分贅沢な食事が可能になるなど食事のバリエーションも広がります。徒歩3分ほどで、トイレもあり休憩するには最高の場所となります。
ゴールデンウィーク前までは、ところどころに雪が残っているので、アクセスする際は注意が必要です。
避難小屋は二階建て仕様で一階は焚き火もできる様になっています。
アクセスが簡単なだけに、初心者やキャンプ感覚で訪れる方も少なくなく、皆が気持ち良く使用出来るよう心がける必要があります。
カップラーメンの残り汁とかを地面に捨ててる人が散見されますが、山では持ち帰るか飲んでしまうのがルールですので、食事のゴミは必ず持ち帰る様意識してください。
