★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went onto my “Best Bars of Tokyo” pretty much the moment I walked in.
Slightly weird location next to the main road, but big, spacey and perfectly quirky modern beer place. Master is a literal legend, becoming the first non-American to win the Homebrewer of the Year Award back in 1998. He is still around, and can probably be spotted by his weird fashion choices...
Prices are very fair, we got these sets each one for 1,200 JPY, and the variety of beers to choose from is great! Don’t miss some wagyu gyoza as a beer time snack: food is also excellent quality and very fresh.
Not everybody out there is a cocktail lover, but even for them an occasional beer time doesn’t hurt.
This is definitely a great place to reconnect with the old true friend of a drink...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great little bar between the south exit of Shinjuku JR and around the corner from Yoyogi JR. A wide selection of craft beer taps from across Japan and the U.S., served by friendly and knowledgeable staff, some of whom speak a little English too! The space is mid-sized with about 50 table and bar seats, and they have a standing area they open off to the side, almost in their office(?) When it gets busy. Prices are exactly average for Japanese craft beer bars with a full pint being about 1200 yen. Warm space too. Overall I really liked it, and will return!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No words needed. An institution. Staff are amazing as are the different seats you can use for your party. They change regularly and have a great mix of local and international beers. Not afraid to run stouts when the weather gets hotter

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They serve a large variety of beers from other breweries. Flights are ¥1000. Last time I visited the stout I ordered came flat, not sure what happened.
Absolutely recommend the roast chicken though! Super tender and juicy—it literally falls apart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ super lovely craft beer place. so many selection for the beer. they brew some of it. you can choose the size, half pinch or full pinch. they also serve food. so many regular, thats why there is no gap between the teams and customer. near JR shinjuku station. had great time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place to enjoy a decent selection of beers on tap. Beers ranged from 1000-1300 yen per pint so might be a bit on the pricier side. Our favorite dish was the mac and cheese. Service was great and food was tasty, but food does take a while to come out (which they warned us) and is relatively small.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Near Yoyogi Station, we popped in for an afternoon drink at this craft brew place. They have 20 different international beers on tap and a nice bar menu too. Super cute flamingo logo! We’ll definitely head back here when we are in the area again
