K	Kei Nantonaku on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 涌谷町北部の狭隘な谷間にある延喜式内社黄金山神社一帯が遺跡である。奈良時代、東大寺の盧舎那大仏造営にあたって、仏身に塗る金が不足し憂慮していた時、陸奥守百済王敬福が黄金900両(13.5kg)を献じた。その金を用いて天平21年（749）大仏は完成したのである。これを喜んだ聖武天皇は、年号を天平感宝と改めるなど、国家的慶事として種々の施策を発表した。また、大伴家持もこのことを祝う歌を詠じている。昭和32年、神社周辺を対象とした発掘調査によって、奈良時代の瓦とともに数個の礎石跡が検出され、産金を記念した六角堂と思われる仏堂が建てられていたことが判明した。なお、付近からは「天平」の箆描きのある宝珠片・丸瓦片も採集されている。 The ruins are located in the narrow valley in the northern part of Wakuya Town, around the Koganeyama Shrine. In 1957, an excavation survey of the area around the shrine revealed that several foundation stone traces were detected along with the tiles of the Nara period, and that a Buddhist temple that seems to be a hexagonal hall was built to commemorate the production of gold. In addition, jewel pieces and round roof tile pieces with a "Tenpyo" drawing are also collected from the vicinity.
