神	神山博光 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 私は第二回の卒業生だから校門から見ると嬉しいものがある。体育館の脇に追いやられてしまったが、白い奇妙な像があるんですよね。実は、第二回卒業生の卒業製作した像で、上に伸ばした手は「前進」、そして横に伸びている手は「調和」を表しているんです。ただ、この像の発案者は当時の先生たちで、大阪で日本初の万国博覧会が行われたこともあって、万博のテーマだった「人類の進歩と調和」をパクったのは間違いないでしょう。昭和45年(1970)に四小から分かれたんですけど、校舎が完成したのはその年の夏休みだったので、一学期は四小に間借りしていたんです。その時に四小にSL がきたんですけど、私達がSL を見ていたら四小残留の元同級生達から「四小のSL だから五小の奴は見るな」と文句を言われたことがある。そのせいで一学期の間は四小残留組と五小組の喧嘩が多かった。バカだねぇ、中学になればまた同級生になるのに。(当時は四小も五小も二中に上がることが普通だった) I'm a second-time graduate, so I'm happy to see it from the school gate.
