★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ここも綺麗に駅舎は建て替えられ切符の委託販売も行われている。駅の時刻表は金沢、名古屋への早見も載せられ京都の早見は上中でJRバスに乗り換え近江今津から湖西線連絡である。バス停があり路線バスかと思いきや大阪(なんばOCAT)行きの高速バスだった。
The station building has been rebuilt here, and tickets are consigned for sale. The station timetable includes Kanazawa and a quick view of Nagoya. Kyoto's quick view is Kaminaka, changing to the JR bus, from Omi Imazu to the Kosai line. There was a bus stop and I thought it was a route bus, but it was a highway bus to Osaka (Namba OCAT).

高浜町和田には綺麗な海水浴場があると言うので関西方面からの人出で夏場は結構な賑わいを見せる。海へは駅から歩いて１０分程もあれば到着する程々の立地である。
若狭和田駅はホームが一つあるだけの小さな駅ながら駅前はロータリーになっていて、時計塔もあり、花壇が設えられている。全体にメルヘンチックな装いである。四季を通じてのイルミネーション等の整備が行き届いているのは地元の方達の奉仕活動によるものか。立派な善行である。

It is said that Wada, Takahama Town has a beautiful beach, so it is quite busy in the summer with people from the Kansai area. The location is such that you can reach the sea within 10 minutes on foot from the station.
Wakasa-Wada Station is a small station with only one platform, but the front of the station is a rotary, with a clock tower and flower beds. The overall look is fairy tale. Is it because of the service activities of the local people that the illuminations are well maintained throughout the four seasons? Good deeds.
