Wakamiya Shrine - Maizuru

Hachiman Shrine is located in the central part of Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture. This shrine is located on the west side of Route 27 in Amarubekami, Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture. A long time ago (age unknown), an epidemic broke out in the vicinity of Uemura, and it was inconvenient for a number of local residents to visit Hyakudoishi or Hyakudoishi. Since then, it is a shrine that has been worshiped by local residents as a guardian deity to prevent epidemics. It seems to be a branch of Takakura Shrine in Nagahama. Takakura Shrine does not mean that the god of worship is Prince Mochihito like Takakura Shrine in Ayabe, but it seems to be Houda Betsumei enshrined in Hachimangu.
