Ojo Otomu (Nintoku Emperor) Gunma Prefecture designated important tangible folk cultural property "Kabuki stage of Ogawajima" It is said that some people came to dance at this stage because they said "Go to Ogawajima if you want to see the stage". The founding age is unknown, but it was destroyed in 1865 and rebuilt in 1869. It is a rubbled four-poster structure with a floor and roof, both with a floor and a roof, with a gap of five and a depth of four, with the mechanism of the stage set being a reverse German style. At first it was kayaking. It is a valuable thing that is interesting in architectural history. (From the information guide monument) The local theater is a theater where local amateurs act and perform themselves, but when farmers were involved in the theater, the local theater was often rehearsed because they neglected farming. Still, people are passionate about Kabuki and seem to be actively played. (From the site "Jinja Visit") Minakami's Bizarre Festival "Yassa Festival" It is a wild and brave festival that prays for five grains richness, disease freeness, and flood damage with a four hundred year tradition. In the precincts, the yells of "Yassa, Mossa, Shinjuuro" echo. Young people in the shape of a Fundushi run around, walk around and crawl around. And while climbing up the pillars of the shrine, it is said that in the end the rope of the shrine Suzuru is torn off, and the more quickly this rope gets ready, the better the year. (From the official site of Minakami Town Tourism Association) The origin of the Yassa festival was the theory that when the area was flooded, the youths saved the people by putting beads in a row, and at the battle of the Naikoto Castle, about 400 years ago There is a theory that it was named after a samurai named Oiku Shinro who was guided by having a waist strap to evacuate a villager.
