Taking off 2 stars for the far too loud atmosphere (my wife was sitting next to me and I couldn't hear her talk) and the lack of etiquette from the staff.
Introduction amounted to "welcome but please be done eating by 8pm as we have a second seating".
Immediately offputting.
Would not go back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious beef with a very generous serving of sides - vegetables, mushrooms, tofu and noodles. A fab stop while at Nozawa Onsen. Be sure to get the local beef options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I couldn't fault the food, the sukiyaki was fabulous, however it is quite expensive for what it is, so while it was very good, it didn't feel like a good value proposition as more than ¥10000 for a meal of sukiyaki and a single drink is hard to justify more than once. I enjoyed the cheaper "Aussie beef" meat more which was not what I expected.
