 If you go up a little from the 1st observatory, you will find a pond. The light enters the pond with a nice morning sun, and it looks beautiful.

抹茶のような緑の色の深みがとても神秘的でした。
第一展望台より少し奥に行った所にあります。
池に架かる木製の橋を渡る時キシキシ音が鳴って少しスリルがありました。
紅葉シーズンは紅葉が綺麗だそうです。
I felt like a pond that seems to appear in the world of Totoro.
The depth of the green color like matcha was very mysterious.
It is located a little further back than the first observatory.
When I crossed the wooden bridge over the pond, I heard a squeaking noise and was a little thrilled.
It seems that the autumn leaves are beautiful during the autumn leaves season.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing photo spot located so close to No. 1 Observation area for the sea of clouds. I'm giving this little spot 5-stars because visiting here is a no brainer if you have come as far as the observation area to see the Takeda Castle ruins. What I mean is that it would be a real shame to not take the extra 3-5 minute walk to see this small idyllic pond and variety of trees changing colors in the fall. The pond is still and often reflects the leaves, and there is a small wooden foot bridge that gives the scene an extremely bucolic atmosphere.
The trails around this area are worth exploring on a nice morning, especially if its sunny. You are sure to get a host of great pictures. I haven't seen any large wildlife during my time in this area, but I have heard that they are about. But with the amount of people that the sea of clouds draws in the fall, I think the chances of running into large animals is slim because they will sense a large amount of people. Not as many people come up as far as the pond, which is nice, but the proximity to other people I think keeps larger animals away, which is also good.
Highly recommend going here if you are already planning on making it as far as No. 1 Observation area for sea of clouds viewing in the fall.
