★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 泊崎突端に行く途中の左手高台にある番所跡で、正保三（1646）年に伊達藩により外国船の監視所として設置されたものです。監視範囲は気仙沼から泊崎までの七里十六町四十八間（29.3キロ）とされ、名足浜の大坂平太夫が代々世襲して監視にあたり、その子孫は今でも大坂平太夫を名乗っています。なお、同所には太平洋戦争当時も軍の監視所が置かれましたが、現在では安全航海のための灯台が海上保安庁によって設置されています
 It is the site of the Bansho on the left hill on the way to the tip of Tomarizaki, and was set up by the Date feudal clan as a monitoring post for foreign ships in 1646. The monitoring range is said to be between Kesennuma and Tomarizaki, forty-eight in the seven villages of Sorocho (29.3 km), and Heitao Osaka, a famous foot beach, has inherited and monitored for generations, and his descendants still call themselves Heitao Osaka. At the time of the Pacific War, a military observation post was set up there, but now a lighthouse for safe navigation has been set up by the Japan Coast Guard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸時代に書かれたものの中に、異国船の記録が各地に残されていて、興味深いものも多い。仙台藩では、入り組んだリアス海岸の特に見晴らしの良い岬に唐船番所を置いたようで、その痕跡が残されている。朽ちた看板のみの所もある中で、この南三陸町泊浜唐船番所跡は、石碑もきちんと残されている。
すぐ近くに灯台もあるし、江戸時代以降も海に関わる歴史がある。
Many of the books written in the Edo period are interesting because there are records of foreign ships in various places. In the Sendai domain, it seems that the Karafunebansho was placed on a cape with a particularly good view on the intricate Rias coast, and traces of it are left behind. While there are only places with decayed signboards, the remains of the Tomarihama Karafunebansho in Minamisanriku-cho have a stone monument properly left.
There is a lighthouse in the immediate vicinity, and there is a history related to the sea even after the Edo period.
