★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この施設を作るのも賛否両論あったと思います。正直ここに展示されている遺留品や映像を見て不謹慎だとわかっていても自分たちじゃなくて良かったと思ってしまいました。同時に次が自分たちの町だったらと考えると、オレに何が出来るのだろう……被災の悲しみと苦労は当事者以外わからないと思いました。
 I think there were pros and cons to building this facility. Honestly, even if I saw the remains and videos displayed here and knew that they were unscrupulous, I was glad I wasn't ourselves. At the same time, I wondered what I could do if I thought that the next place would be our own town ... I thought that the sadness and hardships of the disaster could only be understood by the parties concerned.

震災の「記憶」がここにあります。
決して華やかなスポットではありませんが、展示物と語り部さんの説明、それにここから建物の周りを見渡すことで地域の「いま・むかし・みらい」を想うきっかけになるのではないでしょうか。

The "memory" of the earthquake is here.
It's not a gorgeous spot by any means, but the exhibits, the storyteller's explanation, and looking around the building from here may give you an opportunity to think about the "now, old times, and mirai" of the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東日本大震災について無料で学ぶことができる貴重な施設。いわきに行くことがあれば是非とも見学して欲しい場所です。展望台から見える海は穏やかでした。
A valuable facility where you can learn about the Great East Japan Earthquake for free. If you ever go to Iwaki, this is a place you definitely want to visit. The sea seen from the observatory was calm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 無料の施設です。タイミングが合えば語り部さんのお話が聞けます。私は10時30分から1時間お話を聞く事ができ日常からの備えの大切さを学びました。
It is a free facility. If the timing is right, you can hear the story of the storyteller. I was able to listen to the story for an hour from 10:30 and learned the importance of daily preparation.

山を削って新しい家が建てられています。でもまだ半分強でしょうか?
奥に白い集合住宅２つや小さな戸建があります。
新しい生活が始まったばかりのようです。

3.11の番組でこちらの伝承館を知りました。
入館料、無料。コロナ対策には、ビニール手袋と検温、消毒です。
入ってすぐのスクリーンでは、当時の様子を語り部の方がお話してくれる映像が流れています。椅子も沢山並べられていて、ゆっくりしっかり見ることができます。スクリーンのサイドには、震災関連の本も。
被災した机やピアノの展示あり。
身の回りの放射線を計る機械あり。
地震の時にどう動くかを勉強する、タッチパネル式のディスプレイあり。
大人から子どもまで、しっかり見てまわることが出来ます。

I found out about this folklore hall in the program of 3.11.
Admission is free. Measures against corona include vinyl gloves, temperature measurement, and disinfection.
On the screen immediately after entering, the storyteller talks about the situation at that time. Many chairs are lined up so that you can see them slowly and firmly. There are also books related to the earthquake on the side of the screen.
There is an exhibition of damaged desks and pianos.
There is a machine that measures the radiation around us.
There is a touch panel display to study how it works in the event of an earthquake.
From adults to children, you can take a closer look.

地元で被災された方が語り部ボランティアとしてお話をしています。あの日あの時に東日本大震災と津波を経験された言葉はとても重い。友人の奧さんが語り部ボランティアしています。パワーポイント、映像を交えたお話に感動！自然災害は、いつでも、どこでも起こることを再確認。そのときに自分がどのような対処ができるのか、改めて考えたいとおもいました。
