★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 神名帳の越後國魚沼郡の項に記載のある魚沼神社または坂本神社の論社の一社。
越後湯沢駅のすぐ近くで、西側に境内と並行して戸沢川が流れている。
・
元々は石白字宮垣外にあり、応永34年（1427）に現在地に遷座したという。その時からの御神木の大杉は昭和54年の落雷で枯れてしまい、翌年に若い苗木を植えたとの碑があった。
・
御祭神は天児屋根命・誉田別尊・中筒男命となっている。

The Tozawa River runs parallel to the precincts on the west side near Echigo Yuzawa Station.

Originally located outside Ishishiroji Miyagaki, it is said that it was relocated to its current location in 1427. There was a monument that Osugi, a sacred tree from that time, died due to a lightning strike in 1979, and a young sapling was planted the following year.

The gods of ritual are Ame-no-Koyomi, Houda Betsuson, and Nakatsutsu Otoko.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 冬の越後湯沢、魚沼神社も雪に覆われていましたが、その景色がまた美しかったです。冬しか行ったことないので雪のない神社風景がイメージできません。。。
Echigo Yuzawa and Uonuma Shrine in winter were also covered with snow, but the scenery was beautiful again. I've only been there in winter, so I can't imagine the scenery of a shrine without snow. .. ..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 杉林の鎮守の森に囲まれた静かな神社です。神社の名簿である延喜式に記されている由緒ある神社で、天児屋根命(春日) 中筒男命(住吉) 誉田別命(八幡)の三神を祭っています。
It is a quiet shrine surrounded by a forest of guardians of cedar forest. It is a venerable shrine listed in the Engi-shiki, which is a list of shrines, and enshrines the three gods of Ame-no-Komei (Kasuga), Nakatsutsu Otoko (Sumiyoshi), and Houda Betsumei (Hachiman).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 越後湯沢駅から徒歩20分かからずに行ける小さな神社です。
車でも行けますが駐車場はありませんでした。また、神社付近の道は車同士がすれ違うのが大変な感じの細い道です。
参道は杉林に囲まれ、心地よい風が感じられました。
神社にはお賽銭箱が無く、特別な行事等が無い時には拝殿前の扉は閉まっている様でした。
手水舎には柄杓があり、龍神様の口から綺麗な湧水がずっと流れており、苔が美しく囲んでいるそんな雰囲気でした。
日中でもとても静かで落ち着いた神社なので、行事等があっての夜間参拝でない限り日中参拝した方が良さそうです。
It is a small shrine that can be reached within a 20-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa Station.
I could go by car, but there was no parking lot. Also, the road near the shrine is a narrow road where it is difficult for cars to pass each other.
The approach was surrounded by cedar forest, and a pleasant breeze was felt.
There was no offering box at the shrine, and the door in front of the hall of worship seemed to be closed when there were no special events.
There was a cassotte in the Chozuya, and beautiful spring water was flowing from the mouth of the dragon god all the time, and the atmosphere was such that the moss surrounded it beautifully.
It's a very quiet and calm shrine even during the day, so unless you're worshiping at night due to events, it seems better to worship during the day.
