★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 開業当初は茨木駅という名称だったのですが、JRの茨木駅と徒歩で乗り換えができると勘違いする乗客が多発したため、現在の名称になったとのこと。それにしても、モノレールとJR京都線の間で乗り換えが出来ないのは不便極まりますね……。なんでこんな中途半端な場所に駅を作ったんでしょうか？ モノレール側だけの問題ではないのでしょうが、早急に対応をしてほしいです。
 When it opened, it was called Ibaraki Station, but many passengers mistakenly thought that it could be switched on foot to JR Ibaraki Station, so the name was changed to the current name. Even so, it would be inconvenient if you could not transfer between the monorail and the JR Kyoto Line. Why did you build a station in such a halfway place? It may not be a problem only on the monorail side, but I would like you to take immediate action.

ただし徒歩10分くらいは離れています。
その他は徒歩圏内にフレッツ（100円均一）やかっぱ寿司、ラーメン屋さん、パチンコやさん、コンビニなどまあまあ点在していますが、幹線道路沿いにあるよって感じです。

歩けなくはないのですが、おそらく15分近くは歩くと思います。
行き先によりますが、京都方面へ行きたいのならば南茨木駅で阪急乗換の方が楽でしょうね。
イオンモール茨木や立命館大学いばらきキャンパスが近いですので、その利用者が多いと思われます。
周辺は中央環状線と近畿自動車道が通っている為、空気は汚いです。
工場も多い地域ですが、少し離れたら住宅も多い地域です。
丘の上にはミリカシティがあります（新築マンション群の街）、坂の上なのでかなりしんどいですが・・・結構売れているようです。

店主は店の外でもマスクを装着しないうえに、
この店は大阪府の営業時間短縮要請にも非協力的な店で、
感染対策をしっかりと行なっておらず、
集団感染が発生してもおかしくない。
