★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 宮城県内で天体観測と言うと泉ヶ岳や蔵王などが有名ですが、実はこちらの方が光害が少なく観測に適しているそうです。
欠点は仙台市からのアクセスが悪い事、冬季閉鎖期間がある事でしょうか
It is famous that Izumigatake and Zao are astronomical observation in Miyagi Prefecture, but in fact there is less light damage and it is suitable for observation.
The disadvantage is that there is a bad access from Sendai City, and there is a winter closure period

You can see Mt. Kurikoma beautifully. There were no cows or people. I couldn't use the toilet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 広々した良い場所です。春の新緑の時期も良いですがオススメの季節は夏です。夜は満天の空。晴れたときには栗駒山がとてもよく見えます。トイレはありますが宿泊施設やお店はありません。自動販売機もありません。広く美しい景色の牧場があるだけです。
Spacious and good location. The spring season is fresh, but the recommended season is summer. The sky is full at night. When it is clear, you can see Mt. Kurikoma very well. There are toilets but no accommodation or shops. There are no vending machines. There is only a large and beautiful ranch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 深山牧場から見る栗駒山は最高。山の左側にある馬のような形の残雪、それが栗駒の名の由来となった。また大土ヶ森（580ｍ）すぐ近くに見られる。溶岩が盛り上がった台形の形の山で、昔は大土盛と呼ばれていた。それが変化し現在の呼び名になったという。
Mt. Kurikoma seen from Miyama Ranch is the best. The horse-shaped remaining snow on the left side of the mountain was the origin of Kurikoma's name. It can also be seen in the immediate vicinity of Otsuigamori (580m). It is a trapezoidal mountain with lava rising, and was formerly called Otomori. It changed and became the current name.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2020年9月3日に行きました。
昔は観光地だったと思わせる大きな駐車場や屋外トイレが各二か所ある。
現在は広大な土地だけが残り、牛も一部分にしか居なかった。
車は停まっていたけど、建物は古びており
人影が全くなく寂れ感が凄い…
景色は良さそうだが、何もないのでわざわざ検索して来るほどの場所ではない。

The car was parked, but the building is old
There are no people at all and the feeling of loneliness is amazing ...
The scenery looks good, but it's not a place to search because there is nothing.
