★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 12年前の岩手･宮城内陸地震のヘリ空撮で、道路が途切れて山体崩壊で崩れてしまった当時の光景がここの荒砥沢ダムの上部の地滑り地点だと知って、初めて訪れてみました。ダムの上部はゲートで封鎖されてるので、先には進めず、車を停めれるのが、ここの公園くらいです。
駐車場が7台分ある他は、説明のボードと石の腰掛けベンチがあるくらい。地滑り地点はここから500mくらい遠く望める感じです。
岩手側だとつづら折りの細い林道伝ってこなくてはならず、宮城の方から向かうのが楽そうです。
ほんとに何もないとこですよね。
I visited the helicopter aerial view of the Iwate-Miyagi Nairiku Earthquake 12 years ago and knew that the scene at the time when the road was broken and collapsed due to the collapse of the mountain was the landslide point above the Aratozawa Dam, so I visited for the first time. It was The upper part of the dam is blocked by a gate, so it is only in the parks here that you can park without stopping.
There are about 7 parking lots, but there are also explanation boards and stone benches. You can see the landslide point about 500m far from here.
On the Iwate side, you have to follow a thin forest path, and it seems easy to head from Miyagi.
You really have to do nothing.

岩手宮城内陸地震の際に起きた大規模な崩落の跡が見られます。
水平方向に300m、高低差150m程も移動した
とのこと。
地震の力の凄さを思い知らされるばかりです。
ここにはお手洗いはないので、事前に済ませて来るのが良いでしょう。
