低めの山頂にある古墳です。ここに訪れる方法として複数の散策コースが存在するようですが、自身としては石部神社の脇を通るルートで山頂まで登ってみました。神社前にも説明板があるのですが、古墳がある現地の説明板が一番わかりやすく詳細に書かれています。埋葬方法が木簡直葬方式とのことなので石室などはなく、そのまま円墳の形のみが直に見れる状態です。古墳としては市指定文化財にもなってはいますが、正直なところ同市に多くの古墳が多々あるので、行ってみたいと思いって登ってみましたが、そこそこな感じに思えたのも事実です。ハイキングコースとして休息施設があったり山頂からの展望を見れる場所としてはまあまあかなという印象です。すべてのルートにあるかはわかりませんが少なくとも石部神社からのルートには害獣除けのフェンスが設けられていましたので、自己責任において解除・入山する必要があります。

An old burial mound on a low mountaintop. There seem to be several walking courses as a way to visit here, but I tried climbing to the summit by a route passing by the side of Ishibe Shrine. There is also an explanation board in front of the shrine, but the local explanation board with the burial mounds is written in the most easy-to-understand manner. Since the burial method is the wooden simple funeral method, there is no stone chamber, and you can see only the shape of the circle. Although it is a city-designated cultural property as an ancient tomb, honestly there are many old tombs in the city, so I tried to climb it, but it was also true . It's a pretty good place to have a resting facility as a hiking course or to see the view from the top of the mountain. I do not know if it is on all routes, but at least the route from Ishibe Shrine had fences to eliminate pests, so it is necessary to release and enter at your own risk.
