When you arrive here and climb the tumulus, you will see small stones lined up from the entrance, and if you look closely, you will find letters dug. It would have been hard to carve into a small stone ~ I was a little worried that the area around the tumulus was starting to collapse, so I would like it to be repaired by the city and left for a long time.

It's cute because it's in the middle of the flat ground. The view from the top is nice.

Although it is said to be a Japanese cypress, it may change in a specific survey.

It is an old burial mound that can be raised by 5 stars normally ? It has a tasteful appearance that can be recognized as an old burial mound at a glance. So I wanted to go once. It was a very nice old burial mound. However, the parking lot ?️ is not in front of me, so I parked along the street ? Can I only enter the entrance road? It's narrow. You can pass the road in front, but I thought it was taken with the powerful light ? up (high beam) of my favorite car, but the huge body of our Nissan President (5M several tens of CM) is not facing the front and the entrance road It was too narrow and I gave up ? Because it was about 50M in distance, only the shooting means of a fairly powerful light of the final mysterious smartphone ?. Since it was a night visit as usual on foot, I met the tumulus in the dark. Of course, it is reserved for one person each time. After all, the pilgrimage to the tumulus at night is the strongest ? I can't stop ? It was possible to climb the mountain. I even felt dignified in the atmosphere of sitting calmly in the middle of the quiet countryside all around ?

It is said that Takigawa-den acted as the conductor. If you like Sengoku, you will never get tired of it

I have climbed to the Gunsan Kofun. It's a little bushy, but I climbed up the slope paying attention to pests. The view of the summit looks good on all sides and it feels good. Unintentionally I wanted to shake the war. I'm from Musashi Province, who stopped Mr. Kazumasu Takigawa.

The stairs and roads are not clearly made, so you will have to follow the steps after being compacted. The surrounding grass seemed to be untouched, and bamboo grass and vines were thick. The burial mound, which is located on the flat ground of Tamamura, is surprisingly high, and when you climb it, you can see the Karasu River in front of you. The battlefield traces of the Battle of Kanagawa are also on the other side of the river, so it's romance to think that the story of Kazumasu Takigawa waving his army here may be true! At that time, this area was a wilderness, so if you climbed here, you would have seen the opposite bank. There are many ancient burial mounds along the Karasu River in the direction of Takasaki, so there must have been a road and a large settlement at that time. The excavated grave goods and haniwa are said to be in the National Museum in Tokyo. I think it's also in the Prefectural Historical Museum ...?

It is estimated that the military burial mound is a pit-house type burial mound that was built in the early Kofun period (4th century). It has a diameter of 40m and a height of 6m. When the mound was dug up by locals in 1945, many excavated items such as mirrors were discovered. Currently, the excavated items are stored in the National Museum in Ueno, Tokyo. You can see the abundance of the land and the powerful tribes that dominated this fertile agricultural land. Access to the tumulus from the road on the north side is possible with a light car, and you can park in the northwest corner of the tumulus. It is an old burial mound with a wide view of the countryside without any obstruction. I had lunch here while enjoying the scenery. Good weather is a good place for a lunch break.
