★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 首都高外環の戸田高架橋、新幹線(上越、東北、秋田、北陸)と埼京線の高架が笹目川の上を通る直ぐ近くにあ？下水道施設。
おそらくは荒川への洪水関係の水量の調節なども行っているのか、直ぐ近くに笹目川に流れる用水路の水門などもある。
この界隈の笹目川は交通拠点の近くで生活排水の流れていそうな用水路も多いこともあってかかなりの濁りと汚れがある。
が、かなりの大型の鯉が群れていたり、中洲では亀(おそらくはミドリガメ、ミシシッピアカミミガメ)が甲羅干しをするためにたくさんいたりもする。
さらに高架や電柱などの構造物にはそんな水棲生物を狙っていると思われる水鳥も見られる。
綺麗ではないが生物が多いエリアで、暑くなる前の夏場に散策するのも乙。
