Basically you can enjoy a safe climb. However, last year, he slipped from a wet rocky area and left three dead. I think that the Higashione Course is limited to climbing on sunny days.

It is a mountain famous for lizard azaleas. It is crowded from April to May. In particular, there are many flowers on the mountain trails of Nishione, and in addition to the baleen azaleas, honeybee azaleas, aphids, foot iwachiwa, iwakagami at the feet, and hitoshika deer at the foot are also seen. There are no stairs on the mountain trail, and there are some slopes where the slope is tight and the sides are cut off, but there is no problem if you go carefully. The mountain trail was well maintained, and ropes were put in places where it was quick and cheap to slip, which was helpful. The summit is small, but you can barely see Mt. Fuji, and it looks very close to Okutama. I was able to take a break slowly. At the starting point of climbing is the Biryukan, which has a dining room, toilets, and vending machines. I think it is essential to prevent slipping in the frozen winter season.

It is a mountain with an altitude of 1102m. The entrance to the trail is at Hattamukaibashi in Nishihara. 2019.3 Addendum Although I had a preview of the touring in the previous year, I was able to finally climb the famous Tsuboyama that could not climb due to the severe winter season. Even if it's March, it's late so I don't have to worry about snow or freezing. However, on the day, the weather forecast is delicate ... I don't have to go downhill because my daily activities are good! Assault with a selfish desire (because it is scary for the time being, bring a large litter bag of about 100 L instead of poncho) Facility users park their cars at the "Biryukan" where they can park for free and arrive at Hatta Mukaibashi within a 10-minute walk. I'm an amateur of Yamanashi 100 famous mountains, so I avoided climbing the eastern route, which is reputed dangerous in March, when Tsuboyama is the first one to see. According to the advice, we decided on the west route that seems to be well maintained. Proceed to the west for a while after crossing the bridge, and after a few minutes past the branch sign for the east route, the riverbed, which is thought to be due to the remains of the brass mine, crosses Shirazawa-suji. There are many mines in the prefecture that have been abandoned due to unprofitable profits. Is this one of them? Shortly after that, you will come to Susuki Square. The road is completely invisible and there is a slope traverse in the direction of the guidepost, but no matter how you look at it, it is not a road to climb a ridge. If I got lost there, I could go back to the mountain trail by climbing the ridge according to the principle of climbing. It may be a point to note in this mountain where the off season is long. After that, basically only climbing a thin ridge, there are places where flowers bloom on both sides and a signboard is installed. It was still a bud in late March. In the latter half, there are many rope fields, and it is worth climbing up with a fairly steep slope. It was cloudy that day, but I could see the surrounding mountains such as Mt. The downhill route was longer than the Biryukan route, which was longer than the uphill route and crossed three bumps on the way, so it took 1.8 hours. Moreover, although it snowed from the middle, it did not pile up and was safely downhill. Eat soba at the Biryukan and return. 2020.4 Addendum This time I went up the east route and got off the west route. Brand new trawlers are laid everywhere on the eastern route, which is said to be dangerous, and it seems to have improved significantly. However, since there are many fallen leaves and it is a steep slope, it is better to stop it on wet roads and downhill. If you are limited to climbing, you can enjoy climbing, thin ridges, rocky areas, etc. I could see flowers on the down west route because the time was right. Re-recognizing that the west route is as steep as the east route, although the road width is wide. Therefore, I think the Biryukan route is the best way to go down the mountain.

I climbed from Matsuhime Pass via Narakurayama. It's a little less than an hour from Narakurayama. Walk along a forest road and take the sign on your left to the mountain trail enter. Repeat the sudden ups and downs from here. On the way, you will overcome obstacles such as tree branches and rocks. Although it is a low mountain, it is surprisingly rewarding to walk. The summit is narrow but the view is amazing! As mentioned in other people's posts, There seems to be a dangerous place in each course Don't let your guard down.

After going up the Aterazawa River, it was one peak of the ridge that I chose for the descent. It is Yabuyama without any strangeness. Since there are no noticeable mountains around, the outlook is poor. It seems that three people died in this mountain in 2017. We descended from the eastern ridge from Tsuboyama to the Aterazawa village, but the footprints were clearly unclear, and although it was an afforestation zone, it was a steep slope that was likely 60-70 degrees. Probably because I removed the regular route, but I feel like I'm grabbed by a tree and getting off.

December 2021. I climbed from the trailhead near the Hatsuda bus stop, which is about a 20-minute walk from the Biryukan. The toilet at the trailhead was locked and could not be used. It is a little dangerous to slip when there are many fallen leaves. There are some places where you can climb up and down with both hands using ropes and rocks, so be careful. I didn't meet anyone from climbing to descending.

Enjoying a bunch of beautiful flowers at the Mt. Tsuboyama. I would say it is a flower mountain.
