X	Xena Z. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got there at 1130am, & waited till 12pm. Appetizer came soon, then food came around 1220pm. 生ふ丼 (Namafu don) was our favorite ! The sticks were great too. Amazing price for Kyoto. Everything was fairly simple but done well, including the blueberry yoghurt dessert & cinnamon tofu. I think it was all vegan. So good. Surprisingly, given the long line of folks, they were unhurried (but efficient) & friendly. We were the last on our floor, so I asked if we should take home desserts, but she asked us to enjoy it there .. I think we took an extra 15 mins, before they could clear our floor & let people in. When we bought food to take home, the lady explained to us what to do with each item, so nice (: P.S. no free parking at shop
D	Dalila Droege on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be prepared to wait an hour to get in during high season. But it's worth it! Almost everyone in line was a local, a good sign. The tofu was incredible and we loved sampling all the different preparations and dishes. Great service, and a photo menu that works if you don't speak Japanese. A feast cost us less than $20 per person.
E	Eug C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a tourist and not fluent in Japanese, I was informed that the dishes selling infront of the store requires cooking. Hence, I only bought the soy milk 豆乳. It is tasty!! The waiting time around 11.15am on the 25th (The day where the temple opposite hosts flea market) is about 30mins.
J	Julie Taeko on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely high-quality tofu that is slightly softer than other kinds of tofu. Apparently there are two different Varieties in Kyoto. One is a bit harder the other one is a bit softer. And on the side street, all of the locals but tofu directly from the store. They don’t actually eat at this restaurant. Overall, a great place to visit, especially if you like tofu.
K	Katherine Chan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A tofu focused restaurant and shop. The restaurant is exceptionally popular. We went 15 minutes before open and there was already a line. I was disappointed as the most comprehensive lunch set was sold out despite the fact that we were among the first customers in the door. The food is pretty good. Unlike the other reviews, I wouldn't say it was life changing but definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The shop has good tofu pudding and all prices are affordable.
M	Mariz Choo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super delicious yet reasonable tofu restaurant!!! Each tofu dish was made carefully and in their own unique way, they all stood out differently. It is also quite similar to Chinese food, as we also use ginkgo nuts to cook along with yuba. They also sell yogurt, soy milk, etc for you to buy home. Service is good too! ✨ I heard it can get pretty crowded but I went on a weekday afternoon so there wasn’t a need to queue in my case. Anyway, there is a shrine nearby so you can come here to get lunch after visiting the shrine :)
S	Stephen Shao Chi-Ching on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be prepared for a long queue. We visited on Sunday around 13:00, and waiting outside for one hour, then got our meal around 14:30. However it is totally worth it. You won’t image how a simple Tofu can turn into such delicious dishes!
