We checked and the otoshi (kind of dish / seating charge) was 800Y per person (by 3... 2400Y). Of course, it wasn’t written anywhere. I was pretty sure the owner actually charged us more on purpose so I told him. To probably get rid of my complain he gave me a few coins randomly (why? either give me nothing - and the proof that people are charged this price - or all my money back!), but also told me that izakaya in that street were doing it too. I asked a guy working for another izakaya (right next to it) and he told me that otoshi in this street are around 200-300Y and he was really surprised about that 800Y charge as well. The food wasn’t bad, there was 80’s music (which is a plus for me), and I could even have gone back one day. But after this, of course, I will not. I will give my money and a good review to another restaurant. If you read this review and went to that restaurant, please mention how much you paid for the otoshi, that should be interesting.
