★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Replaced my lost residence card. Waited about an hour and they had it printed and ready to go. It was fine. The organization of non Japanese is funny to watch lol

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horribly crowded. It took 4 hrs to complete the application process. Most people do not comply social distancing measures. Another example why Japanese people think foreigner do not respect Japanese way of social behavior. One staff was terribly unsupportive in the beginning. Probably he was feeling pressure due to crowd. Because he helped a lot later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very kind folks there.
Many foreigners, -- Asians --
long waiting period : feels like Asia (grin).
I am here in Japan since 1978, Permanent Resident since around 1990
and I still need to go to the Immigration
office ! In my country Permanent Foreigners don't need to do this
'Only' here in Japan.
-- Discrepancy ? Outdated System ?
or too many Foreign crooks here ?
I wonder ??? --
Anyway, can't be helped --> Law !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff can be curt at times but for the most part they're very kind and I've never had any problems communicating. There is a cafe at the station and a few other restaurants to eat at. Use their time schedule posted to know when to come back. I always come around 10am here, get my number and then leave for a few hours to come back and get checked out around 1230-1pm. It's definitely not as bad as other immigration offices. Just be confident about leaving. There's a lot to do around the area you just have to be willing to walk for a bit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If there was ever a reason to get Japanese citizenship, not having to come to this place again would be it.
About a 10 minute walk from Kita Yono station, this bureau has 5 booths, 1 usually reserved for getting people their numbers when they come in. The employees are competent and quick, and the whole process is expertly streamlined, but the place is usually packed--there can be up to a hundred people in there some days, with more than half having to stand and wait to be called. There is a temp check and hand sanitizer, but be ready to wait at least 2 hours before finishing. And bring a pen. There are none on site--I assume because people steal them to poke their eyes out when they tire of waiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been here many times to renew my Visa.
The place is not that big that lots of people need to stand for an hour or more while waiting for their Visa to be processed.
Despite that, the staffs are kind and explaining things properly.
I recommend you to have a basic Japanese level to smooth the process or at least bring someone with enough Japanese understanding.
Hope this helps~

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ People here are much nicer than the Chiba branch. Get there before it opens to get out early. Speaking basic Japanese helps a ton.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a lot better and faster than Tokyo immigration. Of course you have to wait like two hours. It is normal. Staffs are nice and helpful. I will never go to Tokyo immigration again. I don’t recommend going on Monday and Friday.
