★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great view even on a rainy day and best of all - it’s totally free. You just might have to spend 30 minutes in a queue waiting for the elevator, but it’s worth it.
On the observation deck you have amazing views of the city, and on a clear day you might even see mount Fuji. There is also a gift shop and a small cafe if you want to take a break. The coffee was decent.

It is famous as a tourist destination now. The observation room can overlook Tokyo from the high floor of Shinjuku. The upper floor is divided into two buildings, named South Building and North Building. The observation rooms will also rise from their basement floors. The south side is recommended as a view. Because the observation room is free of charge, there are often 20-minute waiting lines now even on weekday.
It is an administrative agency as a metropolitan government office, but banks, a post office, a bookstore, a passport center, a license center, and various other facilities are included. Also convenience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the Tokyo Metro Building! We came here early around 9:00 AM (30 minutes before it opened). There was a bit of a line, but we got in with the first few groups of people. This place is free. It offers absolutely beautiful views on the observation floor. There is a gift shop, a small cafe, and piano where visitors will sometimes play. A must see when visiting Tokyo!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous views available from the top of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings. Admission is FREE! We were able to spend as much time as we wanted on the 45th floor, took plenty of pictures, and loved the 360-degree view. We arrived near dusk, so we enjoyed it as the sun went down on the cityscape.
The cafe was very nice and the souvenir shop had some nice items, but I enjoyed looking at the local items available at the locally-sourced products festival...so much tea and so many snacks!
We enjoyed our visit and recommend it highly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building itself was not designed to be an observatory, so the windows' frame may constrain your view. However, it's free and you can still get a good view of Tokyo skyline. In addition, waiting time is acceptable. From here, you can easily visit other attractions nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to go with with free access to the observatory overlooking the sky tree, Tokyo tower, yoyogi park and even Mt Fuji on a clear day (like the day I went!)
There’s a beautiful piano installed in the cafe now and locals just queue up and play randomly. It was such a beautiful place with great views, great music and just An enjoyable place to be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing view of Tokyo City from the viewing deck. What makes it even more amazing is the fact that its completely free to enter. Theres a chance to catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji when the weathers nice.
