In the permanent exhibition, artifacts excavated after the Stone Age are exhibited. I have a strong interest in Jomon, so I mainly visited this era. I was intrigued by the explanation panel that there was a time when there was no evidence that people lived for a while from the late Jomon period to the Yayoi period after 4000 years ago.
The Jomon building was also reproduced outdoors.
I happened to have a bonfire inside the building, so I enjoyed it.
You can also browse books, so I would like to revisit when Corona calms down. Admission and parking fees are free, and the contents are substantial, so I think it is a wonderful facility.

From Keio and Odakyu Tama Center Station
Walk a little Admission is free
(Free at this exhibition is amazing)
In particular, many of them were excavated in the Tama Hills.
The adjacent Jomon village is also one of the ruins.
There is an exhibition corner and an experience corner
In the exhibition corner, there is an exhibition of excavated materials from Jomon to Edo, and you can see excavated materials, etc. There are quite a few exhibits and valuable items are also worth seeing.
The village of Jomon has a recreated vertical hole type dwelling
There are 3 buildings, and 2 of them are not lit up intentionally and it is pitch black and there is a flashlight at the entrance, but it does not illuminate very brightly, but it is real.
It is said that there is a fire inside, so it smells like a bonfire.
By the way, I went on weekdays, but there were no visitors so I could see it slowly.
