Tokura Castle (Tokura, Tokura, Shimizu-cho, Sunto-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture) Yamashiro, altitude 75m, relative height 65m, also known as Honjoyama Park. Tokura Castle is very close to Sanmaibashi (Numazu) Castle, and is about 3km upstream of the Kano River, which is closer to Kokokuji Castle. Tokura Castle is built on a small mountain surrounded by the Kano River on three sides, which is the confluence of the Kano River and the Kakita River, and the river terrace of the Kano River. Currently, Honjoyama is a park and there are few remains, but there are remains around Kotohira Shrine. Horikiri, earthworks, Dobashi, Ishigaki, etc. still existed in Nishi Kuruwa (Yasaka Shrine side). However, although the road is written on the park guide map, it is hardly maintained and it may be difficult to tour the grassy season. The view from Mt. Honjo is wonderful, and there are many ruins of the surrounding castles. In the Hojo area, Yamanaka castle, Izumigashira castle, Nirayama castle, Kokokuji castle) In the Imagawa area, Nagakubo castle can be clearly seen. Unfortunately, Takeda's castle and Sanmaibashi castle cannot be seen because they are blocked by the ridge of Mt. Kanuki. Among Hojo, it is a castle suitable as a relay base for information transmission by signal smoke.

Altitude 75m, relative height about 62m Honjoyama Park also has a parking lot, toilets, explanation boards, an observatory on the promenade, etc. The view is perfect with Mt. Fuji (^ o ^ ゞ) There is Shiroyama Park where you can't see the remains if you just walk normally If you deviate a little, you can see Horikiri, stepped walls, clay bridges, cliffs, etc. However, there are many yabs (´ ゚ д ゚ `) It's hard to see the dockered Horikiri Tokokamo has a tremendous amount of effort to visit every corner of the remains ..'` ,, ('∀`)'` ,, It's hard to thrust the bamboo grass Get sick (; ̄ ー ̄ A

[Is the Hojo army dropped by taking advantage of the conquest of Koshu? ] Hojo Ujimasa will attack the eastern part of Suruga in late February after dispatching the pioneers to the Kobotoke Pass and Misaka Pass. On February 28, Tokura Castle and Sanmaibashi Castle, one of the few bases on the Takeda side left in Suruga, were dropped, and then in March, the castles on the Takeda side in Numazu and Yoshihara were dropped.
Hojo's castle construction. In cooperation with neighboring castles, take charge of the defense of Izu. Mr. Kasahara, the lord of the castle, turned over to Mr. Takeda and was once taken, but later Mr. Hojo took it back. The ruins of the castle are not very well maintained. The view from the observatory is good.

As you say, the remains are only explanations, and the climbing of the castle ruins is about 6 minutes on a staircase mountain road, about 180m away. Today the cherry blossoms are in full bloom for three minutes and are the best. The construction of Yamashiro is explained, but it is a pity that it is not a picture. There is a 360-degree view.

There is a historical record that Tokura Castle was built by Mr. Imagawa during the civilization year (1469-1487), but it is not clear, and it is said that it was built after the astronomical year (1532-1544), and it was built by Hojo Ujitsu. There is a theory that it is said to be, and it is regarded as important as a castle on the border between Izu and Suruga, and the trilateral alliance (Suruga, Kou, Soi alliance) was broken from Eiroku 11 (1568) to Genkame 2 (1571). It was the stage of the battle between Mr. Takeda and Mr. Hojo, but it was abandoned due to the fall of Odawara Castle by Hideyoshi Toyotomi's conquest of Odawara in 1590. Currently, the top of the mountain is maintained as Honjoyama Park and there is an observatory.

The castle was built on the top of a mountain as low as 75 meters above sea level, but the slope is steep, and you can see that the Kano River meanders at the foot of the castle and surrounds it on three sides. The ruins of the castle are parks, an observatory is set up, and Horikiri remains firmly.
