虫神様として親しまれている神社で虫封じの神様。
夜眠らず泣き続ける、すぐ機嫌が悪くなる子どものことを「疳（かん）の虫がついた・虫気が起こる」と呼んで虫封じが行われてきました。
又、出羽三山信仰の広がりと共に関東南部の各地に羽黒山の麓にある仙人堂の分霊を勧請した一社が本社である。とも伝わります。
ご祭神は日本武尊、大山祇命
拝殿は新しいのでしょうか？とてもきれいです、裏山には本殿があるそうです、時間のある方は参拝してみてはいかがでしょうか？
駐車場は見当たらず、拝殿の近くに駐車させてもらいました。
神社の前の道は交通量が多くスピードがのってることが多いので出入りには注意された方が良いかと思います。
