★ ★ ★ ★ ★ こんな山の中に美術館があるの？と、車でぐるぐる迷いながらたどり着きました。
看板を見ながら走っても、何度か曲がる場所を間違え、おかしいな、とUターン。
それを何度か繰り返しながら、ようやく着いた場所は、静かで眺めの良い場所でした。
中に入ると、我が子が幼い頃親しんだ懐かしい戸田幸四郎氏の絵本が並んでいました。
どの絵も心和む優しい色づかいやモチーフで、
小さかった子どもが、何度も何度も繰り返し読んで！とせがんできた、大好きな絵本たちでした。
地下には戸田幸四郎さんの絵本のアニメーションに、声優さんが朗読したものを、スクリーンで見ることができるコーナーがあり、名作揃いで、思わずじっくり見いってしまいました。
熱海の街中からは遠く、車がないと行くのは難しいと思いますが、私は行って良かったです。
中には素敵なカフェもあります。

Inside, there was a line of picture books by Koshiro Toda, who was familiar to me when my child was young.
All the paintings have gentle colors and motifs that are soothing.
A small child reads it over and over again! These were my favorite picture books that I was able to do my best.
In the basement, there is a corner where you can see the animation of Koshiro Toda's picture book read aloud by the voice actor on the screen.
It's far from the city of Atami and I think it's difficult to get there without a car, but I'm glad I went.
There is also a nice cafe inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ いくつかの激坂を超えた山の中の別荘地帯の中にあります。
車じゃないとアクセスは辛そう。
でも途中の道のりや、美術館のカフェからの海の景色は本当に最高です。
美術館自体は大きくありませんが、きれいに展示してありゆっくりした時間を楽しめました。
It is located in a villa area in the mountains over several steep slopes.
If it is not a car, access seems painful.
But the views along the way and the sea views from the museum cafes are really amazing.
The museum itself is not large, but it was displayed beautifully and I enjoyed a relaxing time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小さな子供には、思いの外不向きな場所かも。
屋内は売店と展示スペースがありますが、子供が遊べるようなスペースや遊具はほぼありません。
展示スペースに飾られている原画は大人目線の高さなので、小さな子供には見えにくいでしょう。
屋外も、遊具をかねたオブジェは少なく、大人の私でも足を踏み入れるのを躊躇するくらい雑草が茂っていました。
ただ、原画には作者の喜怒哀楽の感情が凝縮されたような迫力がほとばしっており、離れ難い感動をおぼえました。

The original picture displayed in the exhibition space is tall enough for adults, so it will be difficult for small children to see.
Even outdoors, there were few objects that played playground equipment, and weeds were growing so that even an adult I was hesitant to step on.
However, the original picture is filled with the power of feelings of the author's emotions, and I felt that it was hard to leave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ こじんまりした静かな美術館です。昔NHK教育テレビでおとぎ話などのイラストをよく観ていた事を思い出しました。アラファイブやアラフォーの男女もお勧めです。お庭もコンパクトですが、メルヘンチックです。カフェはとても綺麗でガラス張りからの風景は癒されますよ（＾ω＾）
It is a small and quiet museum. I remembered that I used to watch illustrations such as fairy tales on NHK Educational TV. Men and women from Ala Five and Alafor are also recommended. The garden is also compact, but fairy tale. The cafe is very beautiful and the scenery from the glass is soothing (^ ω ^)

併設されているカフェでは、搾りたてオレンジジュースがおすすめ。

やっと7年越しくらいに行けることになりました。戸田先生の絵本を見つけたので熱海に美術館があると知り、絵本を購入して備え付けの葉書に感想を書いて送ると美術館の招待状が貰えました。
美術館の館内は小さいですがとても可愛い絵が沢山あり大満足でした。
戸田先生の手に掛かると全てが可愛く描いておられるので虫とかも絵の方は好きになってしまいます。また来たいです。

I have finally been able to go around seven years. Since I found the picture book of Dr. Toda, I knew that there was an art museum in Atami, and bought a picture book, wrote an impression on the postcard provided and sent an invitation for the art museum.
The museum was small but there were lots of very cute pictures and I was very happy.
If you hang it on the hand of Mr. Toda, everything will be drawn so cute, so insects and pictures will become fond of you. I want to come again.
