 A stone torii gate at the entrance of Sendai Toshogu. It was built in 1654 by Date Tadamune, the second lord. This stone torii is the first place you come across when you walk through Miyamachi in Monzen-cho. Although it collapsed during the earthquake, it has been restored to its original condition. It is an important cultural property of the country.
