A good school for learning Japanese language.

Was interested in courses and made a written inquiry but never received an answer. Well, seems as if they are not interested in new students...

Made an inquiry, did not get a reply. Asked my girlfriend to call and they said 'we will investigate the relationship between u two' and 'we are wary of Pakistani people' .. omg! and and ask him to get a tourist/student visa and then apply (this was after she'd told them I'm sure to not have visa issues cuz I've been to Japan for long, and have been in and out the US with an active 5 year visa still, which helps).. the staff was still rude.. and upon inquiring about the fee-payment schedule.. said: ask me on email after he gets his visa.. shittiest worst racist authoritarian staff!

A highly efficient factory for churning out large numbers of fluent Japanese speakers. Good teachers but more than that the system is excellent and has been tested over many years.

Recommended by many as one of the top Japanese language schools in Tokyo. Very intensive general Japanese learning courses at a reasonable price. Just make sure you've done your homework before each class!!!

Maybe for those who are Taiwanese which is the majority of the school and those who are Chinese, this is perfect, but for me as a westerner, I'm just set up for failure and it cannot be anymore infuriating. I don't discourage Taiwanese or Chinese from attending this school, but I totally discourage Westerners because the pace is just way too fast and overwhelming. I will give the school one more star because I do find them supportive of all their students. I just can’t give 4 or 5 stars to a school that happened to be a bad fit for me.

Best school in Tokyo to learn and SPEAKJapanese quickly, but also the most expensive. The big difference with this school vs all others though is 1.focus on speaking in class 2.facilities (nothing else comes close) 3.program makes micro adjustments during the quarter so if you're struggling at mid point you may be held back (until you pass) or vice versa, if it's too easy you may be pushed ahead. Oh and one final thing, their grammar text book is both in Japanese AND English or Chinese or Korean or Spanish etc.. Makes a huge difference. Plus they have a great private teaching program to boot.

I just completed a month-long intensive Japanese course without any prior experience except learning the Hiragana and Katakana characters with the school-recommended app prior to arrival. This was the only requirement by the school. Although I learned a lot and the teachers were very good, I would not recommend this school for someone like me. I studied for many hours every day starting from day 1, but I had a hard time keeping up with the lessons as an older “westerner” in a class of which the majority of the students were college-age Taiwanese and Chinese students, late teens and early 20s. Personally I would have benefited from more practice of each concept before moving on to the next unit to solidify my knowledge. It became particularly hard in the third week of the course, when Kanji was introduced and an additional supporting class for learning this writing system was cancelled because of lack of interest, I assume because the majority of the student body is familiar with this type of reading and writing as Chinese speakers. As I was already spending from 4-7 hours a day on studying, in addition to the 3.5 hours of class time, there were not enough hours in the day for me to also absorb the Kanji on my own volition. That said, the in-class method of teaching was great - the teachers speak Japanese exclusively throughout the course and individual participation is required. The only reservation I have regarding how the classes were conducted is that I would definitely have benefitted from some English explanations of the grammar, even for just 10 minutes a day. We were supplied with a textbook and a grammar book with some English translation but this did not suffice for me.
