Careful, most of the reviews are fake. Went to Tokyo with this company, and it's been a nightmare. Now in legal battles with them due to false advertising and illegal behaviour. Stay away!

This trip hasn't been what I expected. When I arrived, i quickly found the residence at tama plaza. Although it said that someone would be here, no one else was, except for a message that check-in would be available at 17:45 (it was 8:35 at that time). I then asked someone that could have helped but he only told me that he couldnt help me earlier than 10:00 (at that time he could have told me that the key was already in my shoelocker, but he decided to just... Not. Also the residence assistents didn't say a word) Also it said we'd get everything. For other schools the notebook is included, not here even though it is the most expensive. Another funny surprise was getting a double room even tho I booked a single room. They eventually said that I'd get one in the last week. Turned out that I was never supposed to get a single room for the first weeks and ef knew that all along. They still let me book and pay, to let me find out by myself when I arrived. Even tho I said that this was the most important thing for me. At least I got one in the last of my three weeks. The ping pong table is positioned badly. It's a nice idea to pass the time, but the ball keeps hitting the glasswalls of the classroom. Also the times where u got the lessons are not good. Sometimes you have lesson from 14:20 - 20:10 so your whole day is pretty much wasted. They just want to have as many students as possible, so the quality of the lesson lacks. The first two weeks I had a really bad teacher that didn't really know how to explain stuff, cause she didn't speak nor understand english. She relied on other students to explain it, which should not be the case. I'm just glad I met some nice people here. And please sometimes tell the italians to be quiet, they are so noisy!!

I sent messages to EF Japan inquiring about homestay programs in China. But there was not any responses for a long time. A staff eventually called me and asked what programs I am interested in for my child. I explained my inquiries and the staff promised to send me specific information about the programs. I also told her my home address. Alas, there was not any mails coming to my door until today. How could you let your child to follow a program which an unprofessional and inattentive institution organizes? Forget it.
