★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The public bath is decent. The evening meal was a bit salty, but the morning buffet was awesome and quite a spread.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is generally very nice and big. The design of the building is absolutely fantastic. The rooms are decent size with Japanese style beds and tea-set. The surroundings are beautiful. Beautifully presented on a large table with ***y dishes. I enjoyed the outdoor onsen the most. We received a warm welcome from the concierge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its staff to be tremendously helpful and courteous at all times. The facilities is just all around awesome. Room is spacious by Japanese standards. The bathroom was really big. The room itself was nicely decorated. Prices in the area are very low by western standards. The Grounds are huge and everything around it is big which is nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in the Oriental Suite. It was so good. Had a great view of the sun rising over lake Hamanako, and the room features a tatami room in which 3 people can sleep on futons in. The onsen was excellent, my friends and I had a great time :D The breakfast buffet was delicious too! I only wish I could have stayed longer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service, but room and facilities are 30 years too old. Carpets are worn and stained. There is lingering odour from years past. The red robes smell like they haven't been washed. You know a place is bad when they include an air freshener spray in the closet. Bathrooms are tiny while rooms are spacious. Lighting is horrendous. They use blue, daytime lights for the main room light and bathroom, casting a harsh flourescent over everything. A room should be inviting and use 2700 Kelvin lights or around that, not what feels like 6000. I do like the vending machines and small shop, but this hotel is not worth the stay

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Guest rooms are huge, carpeted floor with clean bathroom, plenty of space for opening large luggage, and free WiFi. Dinner was great and the buffet breakfast was so full of tasty food that, if you were equipped with a big stomach, don't miss it. Also worthy of mention: the huge lobby, the shopping plaza, and the spa at the first floor. Personally I enjoyed every moment of my stay at the hotel!
