★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 祭神は、イザナギ命・天照大神。【京田辺市観光協会ＨＰ】天神社は、『延喜式神名帳(えんぎしきじんみょうちょう）』に記載されている式内社(しきないしゃ)である。明応2(1493)年に社殿が造営され、宮寺・中性院がおかれていた。しかし中性院は、明治維新の神仏分離により明治5(1872)年に廃寺となり、不動明王、薬師如来、歓喜王、役行者などの諸像を天神社に委託、大切に保管されている。平成5(1993)年、2年に渡る神殿の修復、彩色の復元、拝殿の建造が終わり、当時の鮮やかな色が今に蘇った。また境内には、愛宕(あたご）、厳島（いつくしま）、松尾（まつお）、熊野（くまの）、春日（かすが）、八幡（やわた）そして水分（みくまり）神社を祀っている。
 The deity is Izanagi life, Amaterasu Ogami. [Kyotanabe City Tourism Association HP] Tenjin Shrine is a Shikinaisha shrine described in the Engi Shikijin Name Book. The shrine was built in 1493, and the temple and the Neutrality House were located there. However, the Neutral Academy was abandoned in 1872 due to the separation of the Shinto and Buddha during the Meiji Restoration. In 1993, the restoration of the temple, the restoration of the colors, and the construction of the worship hall were completed for two years, and the vivid colors of those days have come to life. At the grounds, there are Atago, Itsushima, Matsuo, Kumano, Kasuga, Yawata, and Mikumari shrines.
