駅舎は大正15年築で、洋館風。
One of the central stations in Ayagawa Town.
It is the closest station to Takinomiya Hospital, Tenmangu, and the town hall.
The station building was built in the 15th year of the Taisho era and looks like a Western-style building.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅舎は、1926年（大正15年）にことでんの前身・琴平電鉄が栗林公園 - 当駅間で開業した当時より使用され続けているもので、近代化産業遺産に認定されている。
設計にあたっては関西の大手私鉄の駅が参考にされており、現在まで大きな改築はされていないが塗装は他の駅と同様のパステル調に塗られている。
綾川町役場の最寄駅であり、現在、琴平線一宮駅～琴電琴平駅間においては唯一の有人駅である（ただし10時～16時は無人駅になる）
The station building has been in use since 1926 when Kotohira Electric Railway, the predecessor of Kotoden, was opened in Kuribayashi Park-this station in 1926 (Taisho 15), and is certified as a modern industrial heritage.
In designing, a major private railway station in Kansai is used as a reference, and although it has not been renovated so far, the painting is painted in pastel like other stations.
It is the closest station to the Ayagawa-cho government office and is currently the only manned station between Ichinomiya and Kotoden Kotohira stations on the Kotohira line (however, it becomes an unmanned station from 10:00 to 16:00).

A station on the Kotoden Kotohira Line. The wooden station building with a roof built during the Taisho era is wonderful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 数十年ぶりに下車しましたが、駅舎やホームは概ね昔と変わっていなかったのがよいです。以前に比べて高松築港からここまではそれなりに電車の本数があります。
I got off for the first time in several decades, but the station building and the platform should have been almost unchanged from the past. There are more trains from Takamatsu Chikko to here than before.
