★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 雪舟や柿本人麻呂にゆかりの深い益田市に知的レクリエーションの場として昭和五十七年(1982)にオープンした万葉公園に、平安時代の風習であった「曲水の宴」を催せるように水を流せるように整備されたのが「まほろばの園」です。
曲水は平坦ではなく、勾配がある丘陵地に作られ、下流側の池に流れ込みます。
池の畔には四阿が建てられ、曲水の流れから見て左手奥にも四阿があり、そこからも流れがあります。
この趣のある空間では王朝時代を偲び詩歌を詠じ雅の世界に浸ることができます。
訪問当日は、水は流れておりませんでしたが、紅葉が美しく残っていました。

 Manyo Park, which opened in 1982 as a place for intellectual recreation in Masuda City, which is closely related to Sesshu and Kakinomoto no Hitomaro, will be able to hold the "Wind Stream Party" which was a custom of the Heian period. The Mahoroba-no-en is designed to allow water to flow.
The curved water is not flat, but is created in hills with slopes and flows into the pond on the downstream side.
Shia was built on the shore of the pond, and there is Shia on the far left when viewed from the flow of the curved water, and there is also a flow from there.
In this quaint space, you can immerse yourself in the world of elegance by singing poetry in memory of the dynasty.
On the day of the visit, the water was not flowing, but the autumn leaves remained beautiful.
