㍍先の湖上に猫島(弁天島)が見えています。猫島には弁財天が奉られています。
園内は桜の葉が紅葉し落下の最中です。長者伝説に秘められた湖山池の美しい景観を思う存分に味わえる公園です。
公園内には女性のブロンズ像が台座の上で腰を落として湖上を眺めています。「高住公園」の魅力です。
女性の視線は弁天島のやや右側付近の対岸方向を見つめています。
昭和39年4月6日にブロンズ像の除幕式を行ったと案内板にあります。
56年前の東京オリンピック開催の年月からいままで、そしてこれからもずっと女性は(湖女)として湖山池を眺め続けます。
