★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 神社ではあるが、もともとは阿武隈川の自然堤防上の古墳だったのではないかと思わせるマウントの上にある。明治以前は土俗的仏教信仰の場所でもあるようで、月待供養塔も数々ある。そういう石仏のいくつかは古墳の石室を掘り起こして使っていたのではないか、というファンタジーも浮かぶ。
Although it is a shrine, it is located on a mount that seems to have originally been a tumulus on the natural embankment of the Abukuma River. Before the Meiji era, it seems to have been a place of religious Buddhist worship, and there are many monthly memorial services. There is a fantasy that some of these stone Buddhas were used by excavating the stone chamber of the tomb.
