★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It takes less than an hour by bus from Himeji Station. Take bus no 43 from the platform no 18, stop at Uchigo Shinden. This park is surprisingly awesome. I visited this park in late afternoon so I can get stunning views from the castle. Although some of the exhibitions may not well maintained, but I did still enjoy everything here. I really love the scenery from the top of hundred of statues and the view from the castle during golden hours. They were perfectly beautiful. I didn't have much time to enjoy the 3D art tricks, but kids would love these I guess.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Taiyo Park was strange. It had some good parts but it seems like a park for people who enjoy taking Instagram pictures or doing cosplay.
If you want to see cool, strange Japan check it out. If only for the chance to see a European castle in the middle of the Japanese inaka.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The scenery is amazing! Like in a fantasy world. It's like a real location of what we see in kids story book.
However inside the castle only contains trick art which not suitable for person who don't like photography

This is just a 40-min bus ride from Himeji station
