一般的な定食、寿司、中華、そば、うどんと何でもあるメニューと当日仕入れた魚の焼き物や刺身などの一品料理もあり、個人経営の和風ファミレス「まるまつ」の小型版に近いかも。
店は老舗のため古くささはあるが、味は文句なしの太鼓判を押せるし、値段もリーズナブルです。
台風19号の影響でいわき市の大半が断水になった時でも給水エリアから水を運び、限定ながら営業していた肝の座った根性がある店主の店です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 寿司屋の看板を上げているのに、ラーメンから定食まで一通り提供している節度もさることながら、肝心のお寿司がいまひとつ。イクラの軍艦巻きの海苔はしなしなしていたし、いつまでも口に残る大トロも最後にはどうにか飲み込むレベル。ネタとシャリのバランスが悪く、すぐに剥離してしまう点も問題。海老のお吸い物も焼きが甘いのか焼いてさえいないのか、香ばしさの欠片も有りませんでした。正直首をかしげてしまうお店でした(笑)
