戦後は京大が地震観測室のために利用し、平成１９年にその役目を終えた。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 子供の頃、地下壕に入り探検しました。
その頃は、戦争の爪跡がまだ色濃く残る時代でした。
現在のくだもの街道のトンネル西側に2本あり、1本は南側から北側まで貫通していました。もう1本は池の前にある東向きの山にありました。
現在残っている京都大学防災研究所須坂観測室は、内部の天井が崩れている部分があった記憶があります。
地下壕入口部分には、削岩機で掘られたドリルの丸い穴が幾つもあり、発破用の穴かはわかりません。
入口から真っすぐ掘られた地下壕には、横に伸びる部屋の様なトンネルが幾つもありました。
地下壕の前には、掘った土が大量にありましたが、今はその面影を観ることも出来ません。

There was a lot of excavated soil in front of the underground pit, but now I can't even see its vestiges.
